If you’re building or renovating consider these design “mistakes”. If you’re new here I recently built a custom home and learned SO MUCH. Follow along so you don’t have the same headaches I did! 1. Make sure you have at least 42” of clearance from counter to counter. Not every kitchen layout can accommodate an island if there aren’t enough clearances all around. Smaller than 42” and you’ll be kicking yourself. Ours is 48” and feels JUST right! 💁🏻‍♀️ 2. Try to avoid placing a sink in your islan
